Office Wear for Short and Curvy Women

Dressing up for work each day can be a daunting task if you aren’t prepared with stylish office wear for short and curvy women. If you’re currently looking to mix up your workwear wardrobe, here are a couple of outfits I put together for a recent work trip. I wanted comfort and functionality. Use the Fashion Rule of Thirds

Use the rule of thirds! Essentially, keep either 1/3 of the outfit in the top and 2/3 in the bottoms, or 2/3 in the top and 1/3 in the bottom. Having your clothing fall right in the center of your body can shorten your legs and emphasis the wrong things. By tucking in a top into high waisted pants you are defining your waist and elongating your legs. As a petite woman, this is a huge win. You could pair a cropped cardigan with this outfit too if your office is chilly.

Keep it Monochromatic and Neutral

Whether it’s an all white and cream work wear look or an all black look, this is an easy way to put together an office wear outfit for short and curvy women. The navy and black outfit was easy to throw together and will help hide any areas you aren’t as confident about.

Mix in Color with Patterns

If it’s not hard enough to dress for work as a petite and curvy woman, having too many trendy items can actually make it even harder! If you have a solid collection of basics that are absolutely timeless, you can always find something to wear. These are great closet staples to mix in with your trendier items from time to time.

That’s why I love this go-to office look. The solid grey blazer will be in style for years and I could always keep it neutral like in this outfit, or pair a textured blouse underneath if I’m looking for more interest.
